Ficus plant leave get burnt and brown edges

Why do leaves get burnt/ brown edges after fertilizing?

This could be due to fertilizer burn. Here are some remedial steps:

  1. Remove any remaining black granular fertilizer and any soil clumps that may have come into contact with it as much as possible.
  2. Water thoroughly, once a day for three consecutive days.
  3. Trim off leaves showing burnt edges (retain 70% of the foliage on the plant).
  4. After a week, apply Baba Compost-based Fertilizer, using approximately one handful or 2 tablespoons per plant, once a week. This will encourage new leaf growth and help repair the roots.
  5. May spray Mr Ganick Organic Plant Acid on the leaves and tree canopy.

When using Mr Ganick Organic Plant Acid, please note:

  1. Shake the bottle before use.
  2. Apply in the morning to avoid spraying plants in direct sunlight.
  3. Spray once a week, targeting both leaves and the tree canopy.
  4. For prevention or mild cases, spray once a week; for severe cases, spray every three days.
