Thrips are common pests that feed on plant sap, causing leaves to shrink, curl, and wither, ultimately affecting overall plant growth. If not controlled in time, thrips can reproduce rapidly and cause severe damage to crops and garden plants. To effectively manage thrips while keeping plants healthy, you can follow these organic control methods.
1. Prune affected leaves
Affected leaves serve as primary habitats and breeding grounds for thrips. Pruning these leaves can reduce their population and slow their spread. Removing diseased leaves also promotes plant metabolism, allowing for faster recovery and new growth.
2. Choose the right organic pesticide
It is recommended to use Mr Ganick Ultimite (30-40ml mixed with 20L of water) or LM Reaper (30-40ml mixed with 20L of water), combined with Mr Ganick Nitro+ (30-40ml mixed with 20L of water) + Silwet (10ml mixed with 20L of water).
- Spray evenly on plant leaves to effectively reduce the thrip population.
- Helps restore plant vitality and promotes healthy new growth.
- Can be applied every 7-10 days for 2-3 applications for optimal results.
