This issue is caused by anthracnose, a type of fungal disease that commonly affects papaya and other fruit trees. Because papaya has a thin skin and high sugar content, it easily attracts fungi and harmful pathogens, leading to infections that affect fruit health and yield.
To reduce the occurrence of anthracnose, the following treatments are recommended:
- Spray liquid fertilizer containing calcium, magnesium, and boron such as Mr Ganick CalMagBo+ which helps slightly thicken the papaya skin, improving its resistance to disease and reducing the chances of pathogen entry.
- Apply fungicide to the tree and fruits: May use Azoxystrobin or an organic fungicide such as Mr Ganick Moldy Guard to suppress and prevent the spread of anthracnose fungi.
Usage Instructions:
- Mix 40ml Mr Ganick CalMagBo+ + 30–40ml Mr Ganick Moldy Guard+ 1 pump of Mr Ganick Silwet into 20L of water.
- Spray the mixture evenly on the surface of the papaya fruits and the entire tree.
- Repeat every 5–7 days, and continue for at least 3 applications to ensure optimal results.
With this integrated approach, you can significantly reduce the risk of anthracnose infection, improve fruit health and quality, and extend the harvesting period.
