A group of termites on tree

How to address termite issues on durian trees?

Termite problems in durian trees often arise when dead wood or damage inside the tree attracts termites. Eliminating termite nests can be challenging and requires time and patience.

For an organic approach, you can follow these steps:

  1. Spraying on the roots/tree base:
  1. Spraying on damaged tree stems:
  1. Apply the treatment every 3–7 days, repeating for four cycles, and monitor the results.

If the issue persists after a month due to a large nest, switch to a more effective short-term solution: Use a pesticide containing Fipronil, applying 2–3 rounds. Ensure thorough coverage of the affected areas to quickly reduce termite populations.

Post-treatment care:

  1. Once termites are eliminated, apply Mr Ganick Base Compost Extra regularly to promote root recovery and improve soil health.
  2. Spray Mr Ganick Organic Nitro K+ foliar fertilizer monthly to aid the tree’s cellular regeneration and enhance resistance to pests and diseases.

This comprehensive approach will help restore your durian tree’s health and prevent future termite infestations.
